Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican-born musician born into a musical family. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to traditional music, boleros from the past, and traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana is a lover of tangos, opera, and any form of dramatic performance. At age 16 she began singing and learning the piano with her mom. Flavio, a Mexican tenor of great renown began giving her a more intensive singing instruction. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. When she was a student, as well as a young professional within Mexico City and Guadalajara she was a member of several chamber ensembles and choruses. She was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Her love and passion in music, art and performing keeps her involved in many local projects as a performer and teacher. Ana has been a member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as well as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana enjoys singing the traditional Latin American songs and hopes that she can inspire other people to follow in her footsteps.
